La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Austin Southwest

We recently hosted our wedding party at this hotel, with guests staying anywhere from two days to a full week—and everyone had a wonderful experience. It was a beautiful and comfortable place to spend the week, offering a welcoming atmosphere that added to our celebration. The rooms were clean and well-maintained throughout our stay, though we did notice that the humidity could be a bit high at times, even with the air conditioning and fan running. The complimentary hot breakfast was appreciated, though somewhat limited, with offerings including eggs, sausage, and waffles. What truly stood out was the staff. They were consistently kind, patient, and incredibly considerate, going out of their way to ensure our group was well taken care of. Their attentiveness made a meaningful difference and helped make our special week even more enjoyable. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would gladly recommend this hotel to others—especially for group events or extended stays.

Excellent stay. Perfect balance of accommodation and privacy. Anything I needed was either already taken care of or easily handled with little to no time or effort at all needed on my part. I absolutely love Hotel staff who actually take pride in their craft. The ability to be proactive and solution oriented is not easy especially with some of the guests they have to deal with but I am thoroughly impressed. Definitely worth the slightly higher cost for that alone. Great location, private yet accessible, quiet and a nice view. Huge televisions, nice beds and showers.

Even though the hotel is going through some renovations right now, I'm truly enjoying my stay here. My room is clean, cozy, modern, and quiet. It is close to Zilker park. The staff are warm and kind. Their continental breakfast is good.

I needed a place to stay for 10 days while visiting family and friends in Austin. This place was a great bang for my buck. While the hotel is a bit dated (they were undergoing some renovations during my stay), my room was clean and well appointed. I particularly enjoyed the pool and the free breakfast. The location is 10 minutes' drive to downtown Austin and is close to any box stores and restaurants you might need. The hotel itself is a bit dated (was undergoing renovations during my stay), but my room was clean and quiet. Be advised that while the amenities list laundry on site, all machines were non-operational during my entire stay, even though I reported the status on day #1 of my trip. Also, rooms are changed over every three days, which wasn't an issue for me but may be for you if you like a more posh experience.

Honestly so thankful for the staff here and also the facility as it’s such a great location for a reasonable price. Before it was outdated, but current renovations look so so good and they barely interrupt the stay. Jesus, Jesslean, and Dan are amazing at the front desk. If you’re looking for a quiet and consistent hotel this a great spot in Austin.

Receptionist Jackie wasn't very professional. I arrived at 2:45 & right away she tells me check in is at 3:00 & that it will cost more to check in early. I explained that I don't want to pay extra money & that it is 2:45. Without saying anything she proceeds to check me in. I said if you want I will wait. She gave me my id's & room keys. She doesn't even acknowledge you "Good Morning" when you go thru to get breakfast or be friendly when checking out. Room was nice, ac worked good & room clean. Parking lot very dark until 8pm. Parking not good because construction containers all on one side of hotel. Breakfast good.

They are remodeling. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was newly remodeled. It was close to where we were going.

Although going through renovations. This location has for the most part always been good to me as a guest. Of course things happen sometimes, but when there’s a sense of respect | common ground understanding instead of constant complaining, although they have customer service jobs doesn’t mean we can speak to them however we want because of an issue we paid for (You’ll get the same respect in return). Shoutout to Christa & Dan at the front desk in the am | overnight shifts. Have always lead with respect | greetings and overall accommodations. Simply communicate any concerns with respect and most of the staff will do the same in return. And all hotels don’t even offer breakfast anymore. They don’t have to provide it, so if you don’t like it… Go buy your own food & leave the complaints to yourself Just remember..if you go anywhere complaining and crying like a little kid, you’ll probably be treated like one
